Your information, handled plainly.
Effective September 19, 2026
This policy explains what information TanglePath (“TanglePath”, “we”, “us”) collects through tanglepath.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We collect as little as we can and we do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
Information you send us. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and message.
Technical information. With each form submission we store your IP address, the approximate location derived from it (country, region, city and postal code, where available), and your browser’s user-agent string. We use this to prevent spam and abuse and to understand where inquiries come from. Like most websites, our web server also keeps standard access logs (IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type) for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies. We use a single session cookie on the home page to protect the contact form against forged submissions. It contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
- To read and respond to your inquiry.
- To protect the website and contact form against spam, abuse and automated attacks, including limiting how many messages can be sent in a short time.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we will not add you to a mailing list without your permission.
Services we rely on
We share information only with service providers that help us run this website, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that contact form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. It runs in the background and may collect information about your browser and device to make that determination. Its use of data is governed by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on this site. Your browser requests them directly from Google, which receives your IP address. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Hosting and email providers store this website and deliver contact form messages to our inbox.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of TanglePath or others.
How long we keep it
- Contact form submissions: up to 24 months after our last communication with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we need to keep them longer for a legal reason or an ongoing business relationship.
- Rate-limiting records: about two hours.
- Web server logs: up to 90 days.
- Session cookie: until you close your browser.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to stored submissions is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
